The competition glider of U-Turn is called AIR FORCE – and to associate it with number one is no chance. “This is the glider with the most extremely aspect ratio I ever designed” Ernst Strobl explains. The AIR FORCE looks with its aspect ratio of 7,4 very spectacular – and flies very spectacular as well. But for all that it is a very stable canopy. You could call it a certain basic-good-naturedness. Very high performance and stability simultaneously – Strobl reached this goal with a double-b-line-fixation and a new b-band that is running over the whole wingspan. This is the reason why this canopy does not bend or twist that much in thermal as you could expect regarding the aspect ratio.
