Villingen-Schwenningen. High-Tech to fall in love with - well built, in feminine design. Lightweighted, providing everything that makes paragliding fun by U-Turn so unique. In brief: Haute Couture at the sky - that´s the LADYGUARD:
As the name already implies: The LADYGUARD is a modified BODYGUARD. Highest passive safety is guaranteed by the automatic flight stabilization, (AFS-system) and that despite the very high good naturedness of the canopy, the flying fun does not
come up short has been shown by innumerable tests and customer feedback.
"It is especially difficult to find a fitting paraglider for slim, light-weight women.
U-Turn now offers an absolutely convincing alternative with the LADYGUARD",
U-Turn co-founder Thomas Vosseler sees his brand yet again confirmed as a trend setter in the field of business.
The innovative New Skytec-material from Porcher is used exclusively for the LADYGUARD in order to make the paraglider even more lighter.
This material brings merely 36 grams per square meter onto the weighing scales. This amounts to a weight saving of approximately 20 per cent for the top canopy surface and more than eleven per cent for the lower canopy surface in comparison to the BODYGUARD.
Naturally the design of the LADYGUARD can be clearly distinguished from that of the BODYGUARD. The typical U-Turn claw is less accentuated and is drawn somewhat softer, additional design elements, for example a butterfly, have been added. "Individuality is most important nowadays", Vosseler has recognized this, "It is high time that extraordinary offers are available also in the paragliding sector".
Thinner diameters have been made selectable through the use of the latest generation of LIROS lines. "This is among other things a result of our extensive tests with the G-FORCE 360 in Ölüdeniz", explains designer Ernst Strobl.
The lines equipment is an optimized balance between stretch resistance and canopy stability in all flight situations coupled with a minimized air resistance, this is a typical example of how realizations coming from the high performance and border regions flow into the series production, including beginners paragliders.
The risers additionally have been adapted for the LADYGUARD which are now available with thicker loops more confortable, improved grip ergonomic handle loops and are therefore easier to use for the target group. And to finish off the complete package there is a new compatible smaller lighter packing sack available for the LADYGUARD.
The LADYGUARD is available in the sizes XXS (50-80 Kg take off weight), XS (65 - 90 Kg) and S (80 - 110 Kg). The canopy weight amounts to only 4,3 kilogram for the smallest version.
Strobl emphasizes: "The paraglider is a clear DHV-1 for all test criteria and for every size". This means: The LADYGUARD offers the highest passive safety, plenty of enjoyment coupled with good dynamics and climbing capability, attractive design and enviable (female) user friendliness.
