Hans Schmidlechner is founder and head of the U-Turn acro team in its present form. He loves to fly since 1991. In the early nineties he had a lot of good results at acro competitions, but now he concentrates on the team and the performances.
As teamchef he practices with the team members, giving good pieces of advice. And he is organising the performances as well. His favourite figure is the SAT, because this is such a thrilling manoeuvre. Schmidlechner is a very experienced pilots, looking back to an extraordinary number of flights. His serenity is essential to the team.
Beside paragliding, the engineer of a multinational company in the field of telecommunications loves to be together with his daughter Laura and his girlfriend on a mountain tour. You often can find him biking or snowboarding as well. His nick-name is “Fuschler Hans”, referring to a film by André Bucher.
