syncro gold at the world cup in Villeneuve

The 2 Swiss acro professionals David Geiser (26) and Jérémy Péclard (29) win syncro gold at the Sonchaux acro show in Villeneuve, the last world cup event of the season.

The 2 Blackout pilots deliver a perfect show and convinced the top-class jury in three flawless rounds with a technical challenging program.

But also the audience is delighted with the strong performance. The event at the Genfersee is one of the most prestigious events with audience appeal in the area of acrobatic paragliding. More than 30’000 bystanders watched the spectacle on the weekend of 21-23 August in bright sunshine. The lakeside promenade of Villeneuve turned into a grand stand and the audience is experiencing the flying show above the lake up close and is cheering the world elite pilots on.

Synchronized acrobatic belongs to the highest level of difficulty in the area of paragliding and demands perfect teamwork and highest precision under extreme loads that act upon pilots and material. The four categories technique, choreography, landing and synchronization are rated by the jury. David and Jérémy are performing a high level of difficulty in perfect execution with their program.

The Swiss team is relying on the innovative wings by U-Turn and are flying the new acro glider BLACKOUT this season. Especially in the synchronized acrobatic the precise and still easy handling of the dynamic wing is clearly notable. The wing is transforming the control pulses precisely and without any delay, but still forgives if the timing is not one hundred per cent right, according to both of the pilots. The BLACKOUT was also optimized regarding the new twisted tricks. Especially the homogenous turning at the negative maneuvers in combination with the first class handling are making the BLACKOUT first choice for learning new tricks. Twisted tricks were never as easy to perform as they are with the BLACKOUT, the two professional pilots agree on that.

U-Turn congratulates the two ambitious acro pilots David and Jérémy
